These Terms of Use apply to the BU Commodities Trading Club ("BUCTC" or "the Club") website. BUCTC is a student organization at Boston University. This website is maintained by the Club and is separate from Boston University's official websites and systems. These Terms concern use of this website and do not replace the Club Constitution, Boston University policies, or requirements applicable to the Club or its members. Where applicable Boston University policies or requirements conflict with information presented on this website, those policies or requirements take precedence.
Educational and Informational Purpose
Content published on this website is provided for educational and informational purposes. Commodity-market commentary, meeting materials, market analyses, trading simulations, challenges, competitions, presentations, external resources, and other content made available through the website or Club activities do not constitute investment, trading, financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice. Nothing on this website constitutes a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any security, commodity, derivative, financial instrument, or other asset. Club membership and governance
Official Club membership and Club governance are governed by the BU Commodities Trading Club Constitution. The Constitution sets out matters including membership eligibility, member conduct, officer roles and selection, meetings, Club activities, finances, amendments, dissolution, and other governance matters. If information on this website concerning Club governance conflicts with the Constitution, the Constitution should be treated as the Club's governing document, subject to applicable Boston University policies and requirements.
Joining the BUCTC mailing list does not by itself constitute official membership in the Club. Official membership is managed through Boston University's designated student-organization platform, TerrierCentral, and may be subject to eligibility or other requirements established by Boston University or the Club.
Mailing List
Visitors may choose to join the BUCTC mailing list to receive information about Club meetings, events, competitions, announcements, and related activities. Mailing-list subscriptions are managed using MailerLite. Subscribers may unsubscribe from mailing-list communications using the unsubscribe option provided in those emails.
Competitions, simulations, and events
Club trading simulations, market-analysis activities, competitions, speaker events, networking events, and other programming are purely educational activities. Individual activities may have additional eligibility requirements, schedules, rules, costs, application procedures, or participation terms communicated separately by BUCTC, Boston University, or another event organizer. Information presented on this website about an event or activity may be updated as plans change.
